Dr. Jonathan Sutton, MBChB

Dr. Jonathan Sutton MBChB FRCP (UK) is a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist  and Clinical Director for Medicine at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (Bangor ). Dr. Sutton completed his undergraduate training in Cardiff and his postgraduate training in Wales and Manchester. He is Clinical Lead for Gastroenterology and Clinical Director for medicine in Bangor.

Dr. Suttons main clinical interest is in luminal disease. He has also developed an interest in the treatment of clostridium difficile in particularly the use of faecal microbial transplantation (FMT). He started performing FMT in 2014.  Dr. Sutton has spoken widely on the subject of FMT and is a member of the Clostridium Difficile Infection Focus Group, deputy chair of the Drugs and Treatment subgroup, and a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology’s Gut Microbiota for Health Panel.
