In partnership with the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), the Nutritional Medicine Institute (NMI) are offering a scholarship program designed to support certification in functional medicine for applicants that demonstrate a passion and commitment to improving healthcare in their workplace and community.
The scholarship awards $10,000.00 (united states dollars) in funds to be used for IFM training programmes including Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) and Advanced Practice Modules (APMs).
Application is open to health professionals and collaborative care team members who are passionate about incorporating functional medicine in their clinical practice.
The application review board consider people who demonstrate a commitment to functional medicine principles, community impact, potential to create meaningful change, and dedication to advancing the practice and/ or science of functional medicine.
Functional medicine is a patient-centred, systems-biology based clinical approach that integrates genetics, lifestyle and environmental factors to inform personalised interventions with emphasis on nutrition and lifestyle medicine and is strongly aligned with the values of NMI. As a select International Organisational Member of IFM, we support the global development of functional medicine and offer this opportunity for scholarship.
