Event Summary / Press Release:

On November 7th, 2020, NMI, in partnership with BANT, welcomed over 540 delegates to the conference “Female Health, Hormones and Metabolism: From New Science to Clinical Practice.” The event was supported by 9 industry-leading sponsors, and 10 educational institutions, professional associations and charities.

Presentations from expert international speakers explored important issues, including; thyroid health, food reactivity and autoimmunity, oestrogen and cardiovascular health, as well as hormone metabolism and assessment. These remarkable presentations integrated the latest science with clinical takeaways and case studies in an inspiring and deeply informative way, keeping attendees up to date on these crucial topics.

The BANT member update meeting detailed important advancements including public outreach, awareness campaigns, continuing professional development and mentoring, and original research related to the growing evidence-base for nutritional therapy.

Originally set to be one of the biggest live events of 2020, the conference was first re-scheduled and then moved online due to the global pandemic. In a display of great resilience, adaptability and commitment to our industry, NMI, BANT, Sponsors, Partners and Delegates made a success of a new online format with some 1,487 visits to stands and live meetings in the virtual exhibition centre on the day. For an event that was ‘organized twice,’ once live and then online, the level of interaction between BANT, BANT members, speakers, delegates and sponsors was tremendous and a credit to all involved.

NMI and BANT would like to extend a warm thank you to everyone who supported and attended the event, especially during time when connecting our profession has never felt so important. We are confident that we will all reconnect, in person, soon, and look forward to welcoming you at future events, which will be announced shortly.
